My Role I am the receptionist and sales consultant at Interstone Ottawa. I answer phones, process payments, and keep the reception area organized, while also greeting customers when they arrive and escorting them into the warehouse to view the beautiful selection of stones for their projects.

Experience I have been with Interstone for 12 years and absolutely love helping people find the perfect stone for their project.

What is your favorite material & why? My favourite material is natural stone because of the incredible beauty of its patterns and colours.

My Role As General Manager at Interstone Ottawa for the past 15 years, I proudly serve as the jack-of-all-trades. I manage our warehouse inventory. I help curate exciting and stunning natural stone options while working closely with fabricators, tradespeople, designers, and customers. I also oversee the daily logistics of unloading and loading shipments to ensure our valued clients always meet their project deadlines.

What is your specialty? My specialty is my deep knowledge of the products we sell. I can clearly explain the advantages and disadvantages of each material and recommend the most suitable applications for every project.

What is your favorite stone or material & why? There are so many beautiful options in natural stone that it’s genuinely hard to choose just one. That said, my favorite is Lennon in a leathered finish.

My Role Since we first opened the Ottawa location in October 2012, I've been a proud full-time team member, helping customers with exceptional, personalized service. I truly love working with all kinds of people—it warms my heart to see my name mentioned in our reviews!

What Inspires Me Building genuine connections and providing first-class customer experiences is what I live for. Come visit me in Ottawa for that personal touch!

Favorite Material My personal favorite is White Spring granite (3cm). It's a stunning dual block granite—one side leathered (perfect for my kitchen's warm, textured look) and the other polished (ideal for my bathrooms' sleek shine). This Brazilian beauty features a warm white background with beautiful movement in grays, whites, and subtle reds—durable, versatile, and always inspiring.

My Role I assist customers both in our showroom and on the road, visiting fabrication shops to help bring their vision to life.

Experience I've been in the natural stone industry since 1987 and with Interstone since 2000, nearing 26 years of dedicated service.

Specialty I'm extremely familiar with all kinds of countertop slabs, as well as flooring and wall coverings of every type.

Favorite Material My personal favorite is a stunning natural quartzite called Cristallo. I love that it's extremely rare, highly durable, and beautifully translucent.

My Role As a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience, Jim brings a proven track record of building strong client relationships and delivering consistent results. Throughout his career, he has developed a well-rounded expertise that spans fabrication, business development, and project execution across a wide range of residential projects. Known for his hands-on approach and attention to detail, Jim combines technical knowledge in fabrication with strategic insight in business sales and management. His ability to oversee projects from concept through completion ensures efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction at every stage. With a deep understanding of both the operational and client-facing sides of the industry, Jim excels in project management, coordinating teams, managing timelines, and delivering solutions that meet both budget and vision. His commitment to excellence and long-standing industry experience makes him a trusted leader and valuable partner for any project.

My Role With about 8 years of experience in the industry as a sales representative, I’ve developed a strong sense of design through sourcing materials and helping countless homeowners, designers, and installers. This makes the clients’ selection process seamless and smooth. I love building great relationships with clients and delivering my absolute best customer service.

What I love about this industry and working here at Interstone Every day is different, and I get to use my skills to the fullest with the variety of materials we carry.

What is your favorite stone or material & why? My favourite stone is the Ijen Blue Quartzite. This stone is so unique in every block—the colour variations are incredible and ideal for many applications. Plus, I can’t help it… my favourite colour is blue!

My Role With nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in the tiles and stones retail sector, I bring deep product knowledge in natural stones, large-format porcelain tiles, and engineered quartz. I specialize in customer consultations, showroom sales, and smooth order management, guiding clients from first visit to final selection.

What Inspires Me What I love most about working at Interstone is the tangible satisfaction of helping customers transform their homes or commercial spaces. Seeing their excitement when they discover the perfect material that brings their vision to life is incredibly rewarding — every day I get to combine technical expertise with creativity to deliver beautiful, long-lasting results.

Favorite Material I appreciate the beauty of all natural stones, quartz, and porcelain. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping clients find the exact material and colour that perfectly matches their vision.

I ensure orders are accurate, deliveries are timely, and service is always reliable and responsive.
